So... I did a thing! After ruminating about whether or not to sell my house for literally 2 years, I finally pushed GO. Actually, I reached out to Rebecca to inform her I finally decided to sell in the Spring, and she pressed GO, like NOW. And I'm glad she did. I don't think I would have survived selling in the Spring. She's very knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process, was always receptive to my needs, and made sure I knew what was going on at all times. Rebecca was an extremely skilled and helpful realtor who made purchasing our first home straigtforward despite the fact that we were buying out of state and had to complete the majority of the purchase, including initial walkthrough, initial inspection, and all negotiations remotely due to covid restrictions. Throughout the full homebuying process Rebecca put our needs first, carefully refining her selections of properties for viewing based on our changing criteria, taking us through detailed walkthroughs where she frankly pointed out issues we would not have caught, carefully preparing required documentation to insure we understood our obligations as buyers and that we were protected in the case of issues with the house popping up late in the purchasing process, answering our questions even if we reached out late in the evening or over weekends/holidays, and finally never pressuring us to move forward when we were uncomfortable even going so far as to support our decision to pull out of 2 initial contracts due to discovery of issues in the house following inspections as well as letting us delay closing on our finally purchased house late into a Friday evening during which she was constantly available helping us secure last minute funds from our homes seller to address last minute issues that only became apparent in the final walkthrough. I still remember the day like it was yesterday. I walked into a room about 40ft by 20ft. I shook her hand. I remember thinking; what’s such a young lady going to help me with; I expected an older agent; She can’t know very much. I was wrong. I was very wrong. It was my first house. First, she broke down the entire process into nuggets I could easily remember: What starts the process, what comes next, what pitfalls to expect, the ones to look out for, what ends the process, and then timelined everything beyond taking notes. I never expected to understand the whole process in one seating. Coming from a first-time home buyer and excluding my research, this amount of knowledge was invaluable, I thought. There was more to come. She found the most amazing homes I’d ever seen. Almost learned my taste overnight. Sat down with agents and broke down numbers. Let me know exactly when to walk away even when my stubborn self wanted to keep bargaining. It was like seeing a a seasoned investor with an eye for charts. I was thoroughly impressed. There was more to come. She found one of the most beautiful homes I’d ever seen. And when I decided to walk away because it was outside my budget, she studied the nuances that I loved about that house and found me the EXACT same design (essentially the same house!) at a price I could afford and with more incentives! I found my dream house! That wasn’t all. Then came the technicalities. She was there for every meeting, patiently waited till each item was thoroughly concluded, saw corners I didn’t see. When items lagged, she pushed the builders and maintained a list of outstanding and fulfilled items. When it came time to close, she reviewed everything and made sure I was aligned with facts and expectations each step of the way. I found my dream home, yes, but I found a beautiful dream home with all I wanted and within my budget because of Rebecca. I don’t think I could have had a more rewarding experience, a more comforting analyst, or a more attentive solicitor in my corner than Rebecca. She’s become family to me at this point. Rebecca is always available to answer questions and explain the process of buying a home. In the beginning, she walked me through the process and asked about my wants and needs. Once I found the home I wanted, she advised me to put in a strong offer to cancel the open house that was supposed to happen that week - and it worked. She was able to negotiate a move in before closing, and was able to get me more money at closing because I'm a first time homebuyer. If she wasn't with me at closing I would not have known to ask.
